At Random Golf Club, we used clothing as a vehicle to bring new faces to a sport that is traditionally perceived as bland.  By designing progressive garments, we set out to attract the people we want to see playing golf in the future. Over the course of my 18 months as a designer for RGC, I worked on both the direction and design for every campaign.

Art direction and graphics for a 41-piece collecion of lifestyle apparel and golf accessories. Each piece of outerwear was a cut & sew silhouette developed through a milti-step sampling process. Comfort and function were the top priorities in developing the fit of the garments for this collection.

The goal for this collection was to create apparel rooted in traditional menswear with silhouettes and artwork inspired by golf. Through this collection, we learned that the Random Golf Club audience has an appetite for cut & sew items offered at a higher price.

The “Swing Free” Sherpa Jacket was the first ever cut & sew piece developed at Random Golf Club. This garment was created in order to provide warmth and comfort on the course without impeding the golf swing. The contrast material blocking at the underarm is a rib-knit fabric that allows the jacket to stretch during the backswing, and release during the downswing.

The natural colorway was originally released in November 2021. One year later, this release was followed up with the grey and navy color options. Each jacket has a water-resistant pocket at the left chest, and interchangeable zipper pulls in contrasting colors.

Art direction and graphics for a 7-piece collection of lifestyle apparel and golf accessories. This merchandise was released during the 2021 Ryder Cup, which was held at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Whistling Straits is notorious for its difficult playing conditions. Heavy winds and close proximity to Lake Michigan are two elements of Whistling Straits that were emphasized in the social rollout of this collection.

Misfits Collection
Design for a 10-piece collection of lifestyle apparel and golf accessories. This collection was inspired by the interior of the golf headcover, which is usually a protective material for the golf club. We exposed the protective sherpa and added fleece to the interior of the headcover.

Design for a fully-fashioned golf bag for Random Golf Club. The golf bag was released in two colorways, each colorway is made of waxed canvas with suede accents. The concept behind this design is to create a bag with optimal storage.
The bag has double front pockets with waterproof zippers and a full-length vertical hidden pocket. The hidden pocket is located on the side of the bag and can be customized with the patches included with the bag.

3d design for the Random Golf Club Member Kit. The product we created is an original die-cut mold inspired by vintage model airplane kits. This product was designed with one thing in mind: accessibility for those who’ve never played before. Outside of the ball and club, the Member Kit includes everything you need to play the game for just five dollars.
The Member Kit marketing campaign was centered around bringing new people into the game of golf. For the initial release every kit was “buy two, get the second one free” with the idea that one kit would be given to someone who has never played golf before.
Select graphics and lettering for a collection of t-shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks for Random Golf Club. This collection was centered around various typography treatments of the brand name and acronym.
